I have a cheap guitar that I am learning on and am planning to eventually buy a better quality guitar.
My current guitar is 43" long. I was wondering if when I buy a new guitar, will I be able to use the same hard-cover case for that guitar if it is shorter than 43" long?
How snug of a fit is necessary for the guitar?
Thanks!
Correction - it's 41" long.
I say YES it will fit, and it gives you more room in the case to for stuff, like your capo, picks, tuners, etc. Also, your guitar may get banged up a bit. For this, I suggest goin down to te hardware store or something and buying some styrofoam. Not the crappy kind that gets all over the place, but good decent styrofoam, like you can use as a floatation device for a raft. Then, get it cut or cut it yourself to fit the space in the guitar case when the new guitar is in it. When it fits, rip away some of the casing of the case and apply a strong adhesive to the styrofoam and attach it. Then, go and buy some casing that matches the rest of your case so it looks nice. Problem solved!!!
I have guitar hero 2 and rock band, is it possible to play guitar hero 2 using both the guitar provided by guitar hero and the one provided by rock band?
If so, how?
I don't think GH will work with the RB guitar, though it will work the other way around. Because GH was made first (by Red Octane), they didn't have to worry about compatibility with other peripherals, and since RB came out later (Harmonix), they made the decision to be compatible so that you could use guitar controllers you already had.
I guess it can't hurt to try, but I don't think the RB Fender will work for GH. And like pp mentioned, if you're playing on the 360, you can plug in both USBs, but not sure if that'll work if you're on PS2.
I want a baby guitar. I noticed Taylor Guitars sells them for around 400. But I don't have enough money. What other manufacturer makes good baby guitars?
If you want a real good sounding, smaller scale guitar, then check out Luna Guitars.
We tested about 50 of them and the sound projection, finish and quality was surprising . They are inexpensive and specially made for those who prefer a smaller guitars, want a big sound, and a guitar with a special finish.

Don't kid yourself, this is not a toy. it is a real guitar.
I am looking at acoustic-electric guitars as an alternative for an electric guitar... but, i have been reading that acoustic-electric does not mean it will sound like an electric guitar.... so, is there any way i can make an acoustic electric sound like an electric... and, if so, would i use an acoustic amp or an electric amp
If you want an electric guitar sound from an acoustic then you must use an amplifier that's geared for the electric, not an acoustic amplifier. Simply plug in, adjust your tone and volume, and wail away.
I'm going to go buy an acoustic guitar for Christmas, but I'm not really sure what I should get. I am planning on going to Guitar Center to try some of them out, but I want some suggestions of guitars I should be looking at.
Norman acoustics are good.
I am planning on becoming really good at playing the guitar but i love playing guitar hero too...would that be weird if i was really good at the guitar and played guitar hero still?
i think tey would its great to help learn rhtym
